Plain-English terms of service

You can use Gazou to learn French for personal use. Don't scrape it, re-publish the content elsewhere, or run automated bots against the API. Be kind to the system and we'll be kind to you.

Anything you add (custom phrases, partner recordings, library entries) is yours. You grant us a limited right to store and play it back for you — that's it. If you delete your account, your content goes with it.

Audio is generated by OpenAI's TTS service. It's a synthesised voice, not a recording of a real person. Use it for personal learning; don't republish it as if it were original recorded speech.

We do our best to keep the app online, but we can't promise 100% uptime. There are no SLAs. If something is broken, email us — we'll usually fix it within a day or two.

We might update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be flagged in-app. By continuing to use the app you agree to the latest version.
